After running the Female Film Club for 3 years we kept seeing the same problems with many of our members:
We saw our members struggling with some or all of these problems and we were keen to find a solution as we knew they had stories that need to be told!!
Not only does she hold an MA and PhD in screenwriting, is teaching at top universities in London, she is also a writer, director and script consultant. (and she rises a kickass motor!) Her knowledge spans from academia to the practicalities of filmmaking. She teaches with empathy, understanding and a big dose of tough love. Under the guidance of Dr. Tracy students have gotten their scripts commissioned, finished and are now proud to call themselves a writer.
Dr. Tracy is part of the FFC Family and we are so excited to let you know that the doors to her new writing courses are opening soon.

If you have not written any screenplays before we have a beginner course: The Art Of The Screenplay in March 2023 which will be better suited for you.

Yes, you'll definitely will be challenged and we encourage you to start with our courses so you have a community to fall back on and discuss and process the learnings in the class so you can immediately implement them in your writing. You can ask any question and bring examples of your own work/idea's to every course.

Yes, we have writers that started off with Tracys courses and were not active in the industry before. Thanks to the course they have now created a great peer group in the industry and feel connected and part of it.
Yes, the rules and language are the same, in the Toolkit 10 week course Tracy adds things for students who want to write TV series.
The Screenwriters Toolkit course gives you all the tools you need to write a feature film. You can use the same rules if you want to write a short film or TV series that is taken seriously by the industry.
Yes, often a major objection to starting to write is not knowing the structure and where to begin, once you know that and have the accountability of the course and other participants, the writing will be a lot easier to get started!
If you only miss 1-3 sessions of The Screenwriters Toolkit that is fine, you will be able to do your homework and catch up as the theory will be in the prerecorded video's and peer students will help you with the lessons you've missed. If you miss more than 3 sessions then this round might not be for you.
'Hands down the best course I've ever done on writing.
Dr. Tracy has a way of making very complicated constructs so simple, relatable and even fun, absolutely brilliant teacher.
The connections I've made through this course made it even more special as all the women were so inspirational and supportive.'
'I've learned a lot from Dr. Tracy, my script wouldn't be where it is now if it wasn't for her.
Everyone in the FFC really walks the walk and consistently over delivers on their promises,
I've not found a more supportive community out there.'
'The course curriculum is brilliant,
I loved Tracy's amazing ability to respond to very individual questions and make her answers relevant for the entire group.
Also the Mini lessons were great to get some background and digest info before diving in the next lesson.
You have created such a supportive and inspiring space, it's so brilliant
